The Choes AhnLine: visitors galore, precious moments

since we've been in LA, we've been showered with love and visits from friends/family. can't even express how amazing it is for kayla to have so many awesome aunties & uncles who love and wanna meet her :) gonna have to split the visits up into separate posts.

one of my closest cousins that i grew up with came over with her hubby and two kiddies to meet kayla ~ it was such a fun night filled with lots of laughs, adorable comments (thanks to her precocious little 2 year old daughter), and some much anticipated, long awaited catching up. there was this special moment during the night where her daughter, hannah, was peering over the playpen to talk with kayla, and angela and i thought about how that was us once, and here we were all grown up with our own daughters. we can only hope that our girls will grow up close to each other, hiding in the closet telling secrets, curling each others' hair, and taking long walks around the block filling each other in on the fantastic details of their lives as we once did as kids. so special :)

something angela told me that night that stuck with me - we were talking about our lives, what it was like to be parents, future plans, etc, and she said to me, "make sure to enjoy the present because if you're constantly looking forward to the future, when that time comes, you'll be looking forward to something else instead of enjoying the moment you're in." good advice :) and it's so appropo because i really want to enjoy EVERY single moment of kayla as she is right now in the present b/c i know i'll never get it back ~ how tiny she is, how it feels holding her against my chest as she nuzzles her little head into my neck, how she smiles at me when she wakes up, how she kicks her little legs so actively as she did in my tummy, how precious and peaceful she looks when she's asleep, how she coos and makes these little sounds at me as if conversing with me, i want to remember and cherish every single moment :) so thanks cuz, for the good advice :)
