We welcomed our baby girl, Kayla Eunhae Choe, into this world just a little over a week ago! Even in just a week, SO much has happened, we want to capture every little moment. We already have over 400 pictures and many gigs of videos :) We are SO enjoying every second of watching her grow day by day. As sleep-deprived and tired as we have been this past week with Kayla adjusting to the new world and learning to develop a schedule, there are no words to describe the overwhelming love we feel for our baby :) It truly is such a precious gift from God to be a parent and have a baby that's half you half your husband :)
The best part for me has been watching Philip just adore and love his daughter...he's such an AMAZING father and husband, and it's become more and more evident this past week with our new addition. From sleeping at the hospital with me for 4 nights, getting up 8 times a night to change her so I could rest, helping me burp, wash, rock her, and simultaneously taking care of me through the whole recovery process, he has been the most patient and loving husband and father. Having and taking care of a newborn is such a true test of a great man and his character - when going on 2-3 hours of sleep a night for over a week and still maintaining a sense of humor, patience, and willingness to help at any chance he gets, I'm SO grateful for and blessed to have him as a husband...
And lastly, thank GOD for moms!! My mom has been such a LIFESAVER for the both of us. Because of her, we have 3 fully homecooked meals a day, clean laundry at all times for us and the baby, a spotless house, and a grandma who LOVES to take care of the baby any chance she gets so we could get some rest. We've been able to take naps during the day and 3-4 hour naps at night in between feedings while she's stayed up with Kayla or taken care of her. I think she's as sleep deprived as we are! :P I now understand a mom's sacrificial love :)
Since there are just too many pictures to share, here are a few for now :)

Our little Kayla loves to sleep in the "man-seh" position (with her hands up in the air)...hehe. It's the funniest thing :) There are pics of Phil as a baby sleeping in the same exact position...gotta find em when I go up to his parents' house next time :) Kayla really takes after her daddy...which I'm happy about :)
Welcome to the world, our precious Kayla. We love you and thank God every day for you!
aww...HAHA, LOVE the manseh position!!! :D
