HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY to my dearest philip, hands down, the MOST amazing hubby & father!!! a year in review:

-last year at this time exactly, we were celebrating your birthday on our first cruise, visiting the grand cayman islands, cozumel, honduras, and princess cays bahamas
-in march, we found out we were expecting our first baby! our lives were about to change forever (for the better) :)
-in april, we celebrated my birthday w/my family who flew out from LA
-in june, we took our babymoon to cali and got to celebrate the exciting news with our west coast friends and fam
-in july, we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary ~ seriously the most incredible 2 years of my life
-in september, we completed decorating the nursery and prepped for our little bundle of joy
-in december, our precious kayla was born, and we became a family of 3
-in the first week of january, our kayla bear smiled at us for the first time
-and now, we celebrate 30 years God has blessed you with!!

i pray that this upcoming year is overly abundant in happiness, joy, good health, many blessings, and tons of love (esp from your new family) for you :)

now, kayla also wanted to add to this post. so here are her top 10 reasons she says you're the bestest daddy in the world:

1. you still continue to sing the song you made up for me when i was in mommy's tummy - it brings me such comfort and puts me to sleep
2. you wake up multiple times in the wee hours of the night to help mommy burp me after she feeds me even though your dead tired from working a full day
3. you play with me all the time no matter what time of day or how tired you are - no one makes me smile more than daddy does
4. you walk me up and down the stairs 20x until i digest or fall back asleep
5. you tag team with mommy to change my diaper every time, even the smelly ones :P
6. you take care of me as much as you can to give mommy some extra sleep
7. you think everything i do is adorable - from drooling all over your arm when you carry me like a monkey to pooping to farting really loudly to sleeping soundly in your arms - i'm definitely daddy's little girl
8. you help bathe me every other day, making sure i'm all sparkly and clean
9. you squeeeeze me and call me your little jersey girl
10. you love me unconditionally no matter how cranky i am or how much i cry, scream, holler or wail

we couldn't ask for a better, more loving, patient, helpful, self-sacrificing daddy and husband. WE LOVE YOU. you continue to amaze me more and more each day, even when i don't think it's possible. happy 30th birthday to the greatest man alive :) "you are a RARE breed...or actually, on the verge of extinction...only one of your kind left." :) heehee.
